I have to thank my Business partner Chrissie for being my guest blogger.
As people we are all very similar.
I write my blogs and am sometimes, no, I am always critical, but at least people know my views.
They’re not always correct but they are my opinions,
Watch this space.
We are a very LAZY country! I remember being in Spain with my brother and he said “why should we learn their language when they can speak ours?” which I totally disagree with.
Chrissie has BARED HER SOUL to inform you of the perils of ALCOHOLISM and the knock on effect it can have. I personally did not know what she was going to write about.
We are not just producers of sports and workwear, we say it as it is. Why can’t BANKERS/POLITICIANS do the same.

I believe in speaking my mind, regardless of the people or subject.
I believe in being contentious because it’s likely to invite a reaction/response.
I’ve previously slagged off Pro footballers, Managers and TV pundits (ex footballers) for complaining that 2 games in a week is too much for them.
That is why I’m highlighting the void in physical fitness between the sports of tennis, pro-cycling and football. In fact it’s a chasm in my view.
I watch several sports and I am amazed at the athleticism and supreme fitness levels of some of the sports people, in particular tennis and pro-cyclists.
Footballers do not even come close in those categories.
Once again the sports of tennis and pro-cycling put football to shame when it comes down to FITNESS.
During another rain interval at Wimbledon I heard BBC‘s commentator Andrew Castle say that tennis players trained for the expectancy of playing for 4 hours plus and that footballers trained for a 90 minute period and that the reason footballers suffered from cramp was because that was the only time limit they knew. What about being prepared for EXTRA TIME in some matches?
I say to the fitness trainers, earn your money and get them playing tennis or cycling to build up their lack of staying power, instead of golf.
As an amature I played 3 games in a weekend and also worked 12 hour shifts driving in between the football and was never, ever substituted.
At Wimbledon the quarter finals begin on Wednesday and the competition really HOTS UP. Watch the time duration and physical effort that the players put in on court.
Tennis players Andy Murray, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic at the Australian tennis open earlier this year showed their superb and outstanding physical and mental fitness, but also their iron will and never-say-die spirit.
Murray and Nadal played out a thrilling Semi- Final match which lasted 4 hours-45 minutes. That is the equivalent of playing 3 football matches.
The Nadal v Djokovic Final lasted a mindblowing 5 hours and 50 minutes which is the equivalent of 10 minutes short of 4 football matches so Nadal effectively played 7 football matches in 3 days.
I can see a similar scenario at Wimbledon.
For the last few days the cyclists have been riding in the saddle on average for almost 5 hours in each stage and the ‘Tour de France’ last for 3 weeks.
In all honesty can you see a footballer producing that kind of sustained staying power?
Once again this is ‘Old Git’ Jimbo saying take care and stay healthy.
Blackburn Relegated and I told you weeks before.
Until Venky’s leave my club ’ROVERS‘ I am joining my home town ‘CHORLEY‘ with ex BLACKBURN players, Manager GARY FLITCROFT and coach MATT JANSEN in THEIR PUSH for PROMOTION. They will do it.
