THE INTERNATIONAL MUST HAVE SPORTS SHIRT 2012

We can produce any of the 16 International teams home and away 2-in-1 shirts.

Congrats to all you Blackpool seasiders for getting into the next round of the FA Cup by winning really well against Sheffield Wednesday.

Being a Blackburn Rovers fan I applaud you. I want to blame Steve Keane for the demise of ‘Rovers’ and I can’t see them escaping relegation, but I won’t lay the blame solely on his shoulders cos it’s the owners who are to blame by sacking Sam Allardyce when he was doing a good job and would have done even better with the ‘promised’ money to spend  from the new owners. How much have they put into the club since the ‘Walker’ family SOLD OUT? ‘UNCLE JACK’ must be screaming from above.

During the Blackpool match did I see a back pass to the goalkeeper that the ref didn’t see?

Regarding the ‘back pass’ rule, if a defender was on the goal line with the ball and the goalkeeper was in front of him ie; near the penalty spot and the defender passed the ball to the keeper who then picked the ball up, would that be judged to be a back pass, because he is actually passing the ball forward to the goalkeeper or would the ref cop out by saying it was ‘unsportsmanship’?

Come on U REFS give me ur opinion to this blog @www. myteamshirts.com.

Who’s gonna stop Barcelona winning the Copa del Rey?

Spanish la lega  is so different to  the Premiership, and if Barca where in the Premiership I think it would take them at least 3 seasons to win the title because most Spanish players would not get away with their culture of ‘diving’ to gain a free kick or penalty in the Premiership,

Some foreign players do con the ref”s occassionally but not as often as when they first came into the English League.

Remember the stick that Klinsman got when he was at  Spurs?

The crowd gave him so much stick that he soon stopped his diving and became a better player.

When Ronaldo was at  Man Utd and he stopped diving he scored more goals in the season cos he stayed on his feet. He had his highest goal tally in a season at United so again as per usual I rest my case.

Good news that Harry Redknapp is now available for consideration for the England Managers job after Fabio Capello’s resignation.

WHAT A COINCIDENCE!!!!!!

I don’t blame him actually cos if you are employed to run a company, would you want your board to tell you what to do? Why employ you then go over your head by making decisions that they’re employing you to make?

That’s this ‘Old Gits’ thoughts and winge for the blog today.

Take care til’ the next one

Regards Jimbo

APOCALYPSE: The Second World War

Would you buy a shirt off this 'Old Git?

Hi Guys

‘Old Git’ Jimbo here again @ www.mits-online.co.uk also @ www.myteamshirts.co.uk

I’m sounding like a radio D J more and more.

Before I get into my wingeing blog, I’d appreciate your opinion on myteamshirts , latest design, so here it is for you to click on to get a detailed closeup view.

THE INTERNATIONAL MUST HAVE SPORTS SHIRT 2012

We can produce any of the 16 International teams home and away 2-in-1 shirts.

I’ve just watched 6 episodes of Apocalypse: World War II back to back on my Virgin TV setup.

There were 50,000,000 people killed because of one Maniac ie; Adolf Hitler during World War II.

I also saw which I was not aware of before that dogs also played a major part in the war.

Did you know that the Russians starved their dogs then placed food underneath vehicles and trained them to get it? After their training they then had bombs strapped onto both sides of the dogs body just like pack mules but also with a remote controlled detonator.

When a German tank came into view they would release the dog which would then go under the tank searching for it’s next meal and SADLY and UNKNOWINGLY it would be blown up along with the tank and the film actually showed it happening.

Without being FLIPPANT or UNFEELING I wonder if the term ‘It’s a DOGS LIFE’ or ‘DOGS OF WAR’ comes from this episode from World War II?

Still on  The Second World War theme, there were several Aircraft Carriers sunk and it reminded me of the time approx 12 years ago while I was a carer for my Dad, who has since passed away. I used to take him to a pub in Chorley called ‘The George’. It was a pub where many of the war veterans used to meet during the day and ‘chew the fat’. They were always taking the ‘P’ out of each other in a friendly way.

My Dad was in the Royal Navy and one of his’ duties’ was in the ‘crow’s nest’ up high on a Carrier with high powered binoculars looking out to sea for German Submarine periscopes.

Dad always said to the guys in the pub that he had excellent eyesight, so one day while ‘chewin the fat’ Dad let it slip that he had been torpedoed twice during the war but was still alive. So one old soldier got the pub in an uproar when he said ‘FEKKIN  HELL JIMMY your eyes weren’t that fekkin good were they?’

Sadly those days have gone and I personally miss them.

Please feel free to send me your stories, they’ll be most welcome.

Before I go I hope you have noticed me ‘POSING’ on our website in the ‘GOONERS’   home and away team shirt. They’re not quite ready for you yet but soon will be along with all the other teams. So this ‘Old Git’  will be posing again quite soon.

Just keeping you up todate.

Once again it’s another blog done from this ‘Old Git’.

Take care

Hi guys.

I’m signing in as per usual as ‘Old Git’ Jimbo @ www.mits-online.co.uk and www.myteamshirts.co.ukBefore I get into my wingeing blog, I’d appreciate your opinion on myteamshirts , latest design, so here it is for you to click on to get a detailed closeup view.

THE INTERNATIONAL MUST HAVE SPORTS SHIRT 2012

We can produce any of the 16 International teams home and away 2-in-1 shirts.

I’ve just got home after spending an amazing STUDENTS INDIE NIGHT  at The Swan with 2 Necks in Chorley. If u haven’t been B 4 then u r missing out on a great music and hassle free night. If an old geezer like me is saying that then it’s a good night or I should B in bed with my Kokoa or Horlicks or whatever ur grandparents’ nightcap is.

As u know from my previous bloggs, I’m retired and proud of my age. I am prouder tonight to have met a group of level headed and sensible young people. Their age group is sadly pre-judged by my wrinkley age group as being no-hopers and troublesome.

I say to all  you other ‘OLD GITS’ of my age it’s about time that you stopped tarring all young people with the same brush and take time to talk and listen to them, cos they have a lot to say and a lot to offer. They r the future and we should encourage them instead of knocking them. Don’t forget that we were once their age. We’ve had our youthful times, now it’s their time. Hopefully along the way they may seek our advice/opinions, but u do all need to realise that to get respect u have to earn respect, which in my opinion cos we r the older generation we should give respect to them first and then we may get it back.

If they do then take it as a compliment. It’s not their fault they’re young cos we’ve been there. Yeah they’ll prob make some of the same mistakes we’ve made in our past but wouldn’t be great if they felt comfortable enough to ask for our opinions.

Pretty soon www.myteamshirts.co.uk will have ur shirts online and for sale.

My thanks to Proprietors’ Denise and Nick and son Jonno on the door and all the staff. They r a good crew together.

I do have to mention by name my new found young friends from the Swan wi 2 Necks who I was proud to meet and am putting on record now that they will receive a free myteamshirt of their choice very soon. Watch our website.

So here r my new friends and their fav teams.

Total Respect to u and all my friends and this is probably one of the few times when Blackburn’s fanbase outnumbers Man Utd.

The biggest favour u can do for me is raising the website profile by visiting the website or following on twitter or facebook or replying to my blogg.

I want ur comments, good or bad. I can take the rough with the smooth, but lets enjoy and have a laugh together. U can take the ‘P’ out of me and visa versa.

So it’s good night to u and it’s goodnight from this ‘Old Git’ Jimbo @ www.mits-online.co.uk and www.myteamshirts.co.uk

THE INTERNATIONAL MUST HAVE SPORTS SHIRT 2012

I shud be a clairvoyant and not a blogger.

I mentioned in a previous blog for fans to back ‘old boys’ to score against their old clubs

clubs ie Swansea (Barcelona)? player Scott Sinclair scoring a cracker against Chelsea.

I wonder what his betting odds were?

Chelsea were well rattled in the first half and also in the last 15 minutes with Ashley Cole sent off for a deserved second yellow card and they did well to equalise in the 93rd minute.. They have received 53 yellow cards which is the highest in the Premiership averaging 2 cards a game.

I think their success bubble has burst and they might just manage to gain a UEFA spot at the end of the season but Champions League soccer is out of the question. Watch this space.

Whose gonna stop Man Utd now after an easy 3 points against Stoke City and Man City dropping 3 points against Everton? Both teams level on 54 points and only 6 goals difference in City’s favour divides them.

I watched Everton v Man City match on Sky while watching Swansea v Chelsea and Man Utd v Stoke on my Laptop via a superb FREE Internet website. I can’t disclose to you all on here the site address cos too many loggers might drag the reception down, but if anyone does want the address then reply to my blogg with your e-mail address and I will reply to you with the web address. It’s a brilliant site that televises all sports and even the ESPN channel.

Everythings crossed for Blackburn Rovers getting 3 points tonight from Newcastle Utd and I will be watching them closely.

Anyway after another hectic last day of the transfer window thats all for now from this ‘Old Git’ Jimbo at www.mits-online.co.uk and www.myteamshirts.co.uk

TENNIS HUMAN DYNAMOS v SOCCER WHIMPS

‘Old Git’ Jimbo and today’s whinge at www.mits-online.co.uk/www.myteamshirts.co.uk

Before I get into my wingeing blog, I’d appreciate your opinion on myteamshirts , latest design, so here it is for you to click on to get a detailed closeup view.

Once again Tennis rules over Soccer.

Tennis players Andy Murray, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic  at the Australian tennis open over the weekend showed not only their superb and outstanding physical and mental fitness but also their iron will and never-say-die spirit.

Murray and Nadal played out a thrilling Semi- Final match which lasted 4hours-45minutes. That is the equivilant of playing 3 football matches.

The Nadal v Djokovic Final lasted a mindblowing 5 hours and 50 minutes which is the equivilant of  10 minutes short of 4 football matches so Nadal played the equivilant of 7 football matches in 3 days.

I’ve previously slagged off Pro footballers cos they whinge so much at playing 2 matches in one week. That is why I’m highlighting the void in physical fitness between the two sports. In fact it’s a chasm in my view.

I wonder if the football club managers are trying to figure out how these human dynamos have become so fit, cos I am. Fitness alone is not always enough tho. I think the magic ingredient that ties physical and mental fitness together is their iron will and motivation.

It doesn’t appear to be obvious to me that soccer players have any of these abilities apart from money motivation.

Because I am a Chorlier I have sometimes spotted Chorley’s World famous boxer Michael Jennings setting off to run up the local fells and hills of the Pennines and it must play a part in his proven fitness, stamina and durability which is necessary in a sport to which he must be dedicated.

So I ask all sports fans, are the modern day soccer players WHIMPS or is it that modern day tennis players are HUMAN DYNAMOS?

May I pass on my congratulations to Brighton and Hove Albion (the seagulls) on their giant killing act over Newcastle United (the Magpies)

That’s my whinge for today.

Who watches ‘Mrs Brown’s Boys’ on BBC TV

I’ve just watched 6 episodes back to back and it has to be the best comedy on TV and it’s LIVE. It’s like Mrs Doubtfire but even funnier.

I think the writer is Brendan O’Caroll who also plays Mrs Brown. Is he a Dubliner? There’s some  swearing but as with Irish wit it is totally in context.

Take care
